JKGordon moved to North Carolina in 1995.  She and her husband built a house and studio on a high meadow with a commanding view of the surrounding mountains.  Inspiration for much of her artwork comes from their farm, the people and festivals of the local communities, and the mountain roads and trails that she loves to explore.

JKGordon is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, a recipient of the Master Circle Gold Medallion of the International Association of Pastel Societies, a Member of Excellence of the Southeastern Pastel Society, Current President of the Appalachian Pastel Society, and a member of the Degas Pastel Society.  Her paintings have won many prestigious awards in local, state, national, and international shows.  Awards are listed with individual paintings on this web site.

In addition to original pastels, and watercolors, she offers archival quality giclee limited edition prints of all of her artwork.
